Bodrum Tourism Complex
The project reinterprets the cultural and topographical context of the Aegean Region, offering a spatial experience grounded in human scale through fragmented settlement strategies that integrate seamlessly with the natural landscape. Its architectural language leverages the plastic potential of local materials to create plazas, courtyards, and circulation systems that foster social interaction—presenting a strong vision for the future of sustainable tourism.

Bodrum Tourism Complex
Located on a unique peninsula where the Aegean Sea meets the Kavaklarboğazı Stream, the project site sits within one of Turkey’s rapidly developing tourism regions. Departing from the prevalent villa complex typology of the area, this design adopts an innovative approach that explores spatial potentials and establishes an architectural language in harmony with the natural topography.
The design emphasizes a unitary fabric that integrates into the landscape as an extension of the terrain, while promoting shared living spaces. This architectural project not only addresses the essential needs of its users but also aspires to set a new benchmark for sustainable tourism.
The master plan embraces the sloped and topographically unique terrain while ensuring the uninterrupted preservation of lake and forest views. Despite the challenges posed by the site's gradient, the design succeeds in creating a settlement that harmonizes with nature. The architectural expressions in the project reflect well-established identities shaped by years of experience, enriched with local materials such as natural stone and plaster. These materials enhance the plastic quality of the built masses, reinforcing the overall strength and character of the design.

The project comprises three distinct residential units offering both short- and long-term accommodation options. Positioned at the highest point of the site, the hotel unit (Block A) is designed to serve as a landmark within the landscape, offering unparalleled views. This structure is carefully planned to maximize the surrounding vistas while establishing a strong connection between its social amenities and an internal courtyard. The hotel’s spa and fitness center open onto this courtyard, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere for guests.

Situated just below the hotel, the “village” (Block B) reinterprets traditional dwelling units through a contemporary lens. These units are connected by open circulation paths and feature terraces and modular spaces that encourage interaction with nature.
Block C consists of taller structures; however, through strategic terracing, the design avoids a monotonous appearance. Across the entire project, elements such as arched passages, open-air walkways, and social courtyards contribute to a cohesive architectural narrative.
