Angora Evleri
Beytepe Mass Housing Area was expropriated as a Special Project Area by the Metropolitan Municipality and allocated to the Housing Construction Cooperative established by the 18th term members of parliament. It is a satellite city area with a capacity of 2,200 housing units. The formation process of the built environment in Angora Homes began in 1989. Covering an area of 140 hectares, this site consists of 90 hectares of residential land and 50 hectares of active and passive green spaces, representing a new settlement designed for a population of 10,000 with all necessary facilities.
The settlement is organized around a 25-meter-wide primary internal road, framed by secondary streets, comprising 51 residential clusters and urban amenity areas. It is defined by four subzones: central, eastern, western, and southern zones.

Angora Homes is a residential development located in Ankara’s southwest corridor, covering a total planning area of 203.29 hectares. The settlement includes 1,929 housing units, of which 945 are detached villas, 984 are point blocks (12-13 stories), and row houses (6-8 stories). The main challenge of the project was to develop a housing program capable of simultaneously addressing the needs of the existing dense user base and potential future residents. Designed for a cooperative structure with 790 members, it aims to respond to the shared values of a community of approximately 2,000 users with diverse family structures.

Within a unified architectural language, a design principle was applied combining villa, row house, and point block concepts, resulting in three distinct housing typologies aimed at both existing and potential users. Approximately 75% of the designed units are “luxury garden homes” following the Bahçeşehir concept. Each district is supported by its own scale-appropriate facilities, including daycare centers, small to medium-sized commercial units, and green spaces. Beyond these self-sufficient units, the central area of the project includes one primary school, one basic education school, one high school, two large commercial centers, a major central park, a commercial recreation area, and a sports complex. Additional social amenities include a cultural center in the southern zone and a country café in the western zone.
