Centrova Adana

The urban project, situated amidst diverse functional clusters, aims to integrate the distinct characteristics of its surroundings by blending the differentiated functions into a cohesive whole. Designed to harmonize with the environment and enhance the socio-cultural fabric of the area, the project incorporates various uses including residential, commercial, office, and hotel spaces.
The project is shaped through a layered design approach. The ground layer accommodates commercial spaces, establishing a strong connection with the surroundings and inviting people inside. With its fragmented and low-rise structure, this layer harmonizes with the environment. The second layer, on the other hand, consists of taller buildings that are visually prominent at the urban scale. Each parcel offers a variety of functions such as residential, office, and hotel spaces, creating diversity and being designed with details tailored to the specific needs of each function.
In the facade design of the buildings, a fusion of Adana’s cultural street texture with a modern approach has been aimed to reflect the local identity. Within this context, the individuality of different shops and parcels is diversified through variations in facade articulation and materiality. The block facades are customized according to their functions; office facades emphasize transparency and openness, while residential facades prioritize privacy with a more opaque texture. The hotel facade strikes a balance between these two approaches, addressing both transparency and privacy needs. Although the facades differ according to their functions, they are variations of each other, resulting in a cohesive overall appearance.
