Farilya& Tunç

“Farilya & Tunç” is located in Alacaatlı, one of Ankara’s most tranquil neighborhoods. Embracing Ankara’s steep topography as an advantage rather than a challenge, “Farilya & Tunç” makes a significant contribution to the silhouette of the region.

Farilya& Tunç

The project encompasses a total construction area of 30,875 m² and includes 93 residential units, offering a variety of typologies such as 2+1, 3+1, 4+1, 5+2, 5+1 simplex, and 5+1 duplex apartments. Each parcel features customized blocks and unit types, catering to a diverse user profile. The main concept of the project is to create contemporary homes within nature as a tribute to the topography.
Embracing the concept of “a home within a home,” the project aims to accommodate a variety of user needs—such as young residents seeking personal space while living with family, elderly family members requiring care, or the desire to rent out part of the home for flexible purposes. In response to an evolving world, the project goes beyond traditional housing design standards by prioritizing natural light, ventilation, and the use of open and green spaces in both unit and floor plans—offering a thoughtful stance against the increasing urban density.
The landscape, designed by embracing the unique characteristics of the topography, has been carefully considered to provide an accessible, sustainable, and responsive residential design experience for users of all ages and abilities. In addition to high-rise blocks that absorb density while offering abundant green space, the project also offers a detached housing experience, enabling residents to engage more directly with nature through a landscape design that highlights its beauty. Spread across three separate parcels, the buildings function cohesively as a unified whole, while each block is designed with its own entrance, private and concealed parking areas, and distinct social spaces, establishing an independent operational structure. To connect these distinct blocks, an “open circulation axis” has been designed to overcome the challenges posed by the site’s topography.
By taking advantage of the sloped terrain, the project aims to enhance the user experience by ensuring that the buildings do not obstruct each other’s views, offering a unique city panorama throughout the day.
